The conveyor is designed with a single lead flight and is fabricated in 316L stainless steel. The flight is welded to the conveyor hub with the welds being continuous and smooth to maximize strength and stiffness and to preclude the entrapment of process materials.
The conveyor is supported inside the bowl by grease-lubricated needle roller bearings, mounted between the conveyor trunnions and bowl heads. Multiple lip seals protect the bearings from ingress of the process material and keep grease in the bearing housing. The trunnion shafts are fabricated in 316L stainless steel and the lip seals are Viton.
The conveyor flight is protected from wear by a tungsten carbide tiles for the entire length. The spray overlay is on the pushing (front) face of the flight and extends radially inward
from the tip of the flights toward the hub for a nominal distance of 25 mm in the clarification zone and 38 mm in the feed and dewatering zones.
